Tasks

Learn about the Tasks list.

Updated this week

Think of Tasks as your personal inbox within PolicyCo. If something in the platform requires your specific attention, it will be displayed here. You can access this list by clicking Home in the left sidebar and selecting Tasks.

What Shows Up Here?

The system automatically generates tasks based on your role and assignments. Instead of checking multiple pages to see what is due, you can rely on this list to tell you exactly what needs to be done.

Here is a breakdown of the specific items you will see:

Evidence Gathering

If you are an Assignee responsible for collecting evidence, the system tracks the lifecycle of your deadlines here:

  • Coming Due: Evidence templates that have a scheduled submission date approaching soon.

  • Due: Evidence templates that are currently due for submission.

  • Past Due: Evidence templates that have passed their due date without a submission.

  • Incomplete: If you submitted evidence but a manager rejected it, it will return here so you can fix it.

Documentation & Drafting

  • Draft: Any new policy articles or procedures you have created but haven't submitted for review yet. They will stay here until you send them up the chain.

  • Candidates: This task appears when policy articles have been approved but the new version of the policy hasn't been officially released yet.

Reviews & Administration

  • Ready for Review: Policies that have hit their scheduled review cycle (e.g., annual review) and need a Manager's attention.

  • Signatures: Any pending signatures for attestations or annual reviews.

Managing Your List

When your list gets long, you don't have to scroll endlessly to find what you need. The task grid is designed to be flexible:

  • Sorting: You can click on the header of any column to sort the list. This is helpful if you want to see items ordered by Due Date, Task Type, or Title.

  • Filtering: You can filter any column to narrow down your view. For example, if you only want to see your "Past Due" items, simply apply a filter to the Status column to hide everything else.
