Bypass Period

When creating an action plan is too detailed

Updated over a month ago

Bypassing periods offers the accountability of an action plan without the detail. It's important to note that only organization owners can bypass periods. This could be extended to authors and reviewers in the future.

Bypassing periods can be helpful if you decided to not gather evidence for a certification, but forgot to suspend period creation, or if you decided against a certification and wanted to resume later. Whatever the reason, it's now possible to bypass one or more periods in bulk.

Above, we've used Shift Click to select three past due period to bypass. The next step displays a dialog asking for a detailed reason for the bypass. Remember, bypass is essentially treated as a single step action plan, so craft your language so it can be clearly understood by an auditor who may run across these periods.

After confirming, the period will be marked as approved. The stats on your dashboard will also update to reflect approved rather than failed evidence templates.
