Keeping Your Library Clean: How to Archive a Policy
Time to do some housekeeping? If you have a policy that is outdated or no longer in use, you might be hunting for a "Delete" button. You actually won't find one—and that is by design!
To make sure you always have a complete history of your compliance program, we don't allow policies to be permanently deleted. Instead, we Archive them. This removes them from your active list so they don't clutter up your day-to-day view, but it keeps them safe in the background if you ever need to reference them for an audit later.
Here is how to retire a policy:
Open the specific policy you want to remove.
Click the File menu located in the top toolbar.
Select Archive Policy from the dropdown list.
That’s it! The policy is now officially archived and out of your way.
Don't worry, if you need the policy again later you can find it on the policy page under archived. Once you have filtered by that status you simply right click on the policy you want to bring back and "Unarchive"
