To Download a Candidate for Release
It's important to understand that a candidate for release is not effective policy, but considered a draft until it is released and effective. PolicyCo will allow for the download of a Candidate for Release, but with some additional guardrails and limitations. This feature is best suited for when an organization needs to review a candidate outside of the system, with Board members, for example before releasing it in the platform.
Navigate to the Release Candidate in Policy Settings
Track changes are available by default and compare the candidate for release to the previously (current) released version of the policy
Green highlight indicates content that was added to an approved article
Red Strike-through indicates content that was removed from an approved article
Click the three-dot hamburger menu to choose to hide redlines
Click the three-dot hamburger menu
Click Download/Share
Special Notes: A candidate for release can include the Changelog but will not provide the option to to include controls, nor procedures (even when linked.) Controls and procedures linked are only available in downloads of Released Policies. Candidates for Release are also PDF only.
