Learn how to view track changes (redlines) in the PolicyCo Editor interface.

To View Redlines / Track Changes in the Article Text Editor

An article in a draft or review status

  • Click on the draft you would like to see track changes on

  • Click on the compare draft icon to the left of the submit for review button to see track changes

  • Click on it again to return to view without track changes

An article in an approved status compared to a previous version

  • Click on Policies from left menu

  • Click on the article you would like to see

  • You will be able to see versions on each article and in the Article Editor (see image below)

  • A version number will also be present

To View Redlines / Track Changes in the Procedure Text Editor

A procedure in a draft or review status

  • Click on the Procedure draft you would like to see track changes for

  • Click on the compare Viewing draft icon to the left of the submit for review button to see track changes between the draft and the most current published version of the procedure

  • Click on it again to return to view your draft without track changes

An procedure in a published status compared to a previous version

  • Navigate to the Procedure you would like to review

  • Click the version button above the Procedure Editor for a drop down to view previous versions and choose the version you would like to compare

  • Click on the compare icon to the left of the version button to see track changes between that version and the current version

To View Redlines / Track Changes in a Release Candidate

  • Navigate to the Release Candidate in Policy Settings

  • Track changes are available by default and compare the candidate for release to the previously (current) released version of the policy

    • Green highlight indicates content that was added to an approved article

    • Red Strike-through indicates content that was removed from an approved article

    • Click the three-dot hamburger menu to choose to hide redlines

Downloading a Release Candidate with Track Changes

  • Click the three-dot hamburger menu

  • Click Download/Share

    • Special Notes: A candidate for release can include the Changelog but will not provide the option to to include controls, nor procedures (even when linked.) Controls and procedures linked are only available in downloads of Released Policies. Candidates for Release are also PDF only.
