Whether you’re reviewing a teammate’s edits or looking back at an older version, the Track Changes / Redlines feature in PolicyCo makes it easy to see exactly what has changed.
Checking Previous Versions
Policy Articles
When you are working in a policy article, you can quickly toggle through its history to see how the document has evolved over time.
Select the article you want to review.
In the Document Info section on the right, click either Draft or Published.
A third column will appear on the right listing all available versions.
Simply click a version to load it into the editor.
Viewing Track Changes (Redlines)
To see specific "redline" edits—like additions and deletions—use the tracking tool:
Once you have selected a version, the label that previously said "Draft" or "Published" will now show Viewing.
Click the small paper icon (the one with the + and - signs) to highlight changes.
Green highlights show new content that was added, while red strike-throughs show what was removed.
Release Candidates-Policies
The layout is a bit different for Release Candidates to help you focus on the final approval steps.
Click the red candidate button at the top of the screen.
Your policy will appear on the left, and the release controls will be on the right.
You will find the track changes icon in that right-hand pane, located just under the Release section.
PDF Downloads
Downloading as PDF: If you need to share a Candidate as a file, you can download it as a PDF via the download Icon on the right pane. These downloads include the Changelog, though linked controls and procedures only appear once the policy is officially Released.
Procedures
Procedures: These work exactly the same way as policy articles. You can follow the same steps above to view versions and track changes for any procedure.
