Release Notes 2.38.0

New Features

  • Attach PDFs, Word documents, text files, and images to agent chat, shown as removable pills next to the Ask/Plan dropdown.

  • The agent can now import an attached document as a policy or procedure, with checkpoints to confirm the type, name, and how to split documents.

  • Policies and procedures can now be imported through one shared pipeline that accepts markdown and previews the result before anything is saved.

  • Right-click a table cell in the editor for context-aware options: add or remove rows and columns, toggle header rows and columns, merge or split cells, and delete the table.

  • The editor reference bar now shows only the label, linked items, and add icon for the reference you clicked.

  • A Create Policy tool is now available through MCP.

Bugs

  • Archived policies and procedures now show up when you filter by Archived status.

  • Importing a document from inside a policy now always creates a policy, and from inside a procedure always creates a procedure.

  • Fixed policy and procedure imports failing on staging with a generic error.

  • Completed and partially completed attestations now appear in the Attestations status filters.

  • Resizing a table column in the editor now only adjusts the two adjacent columns.

  • The gap between a paragraph and the table below it is now consistent between the editor and the PDF.

  • Fixed merged table cells splitting across a page break in PDFs.

  • Table header rows now repeat after a page break in PDFs.

  • Tables that continue onto a new page now close out the row properly in PDFs.

  • The policy release page now shows an animated loader while loading instead of a "no changes" message.

  • Fixed an OpenAI key error affecting controls search in the admin site.

  • Fixed a framework import that reported 171 controls but only showed 67 in production.
